Laser-ready maps,made simple.
A guided web app that turns real geographic data into clean, layered SVG & DXF files — ready for LightBurn, Glowforge, or xTool. No tracing. No cleanup. Just select, preview, and cut.
What we’re building
MapToLaser Express is for makers, hobbyists, and small shops that want professional map files without spending hours tracing screenshots, cleaning vectors, or manually separating laser operations.
The app guides you from place selection to preview to export, then packages the result as per-piece SVG and DXF files with metadata, attribution, and assembly guidance.
How it will work
Planned features
A simple front end for customers, backed by a production export engine focused on clean vectors, predictable layers, and practical laser workflows.
Size → location → features → style → text → preview → export. Every option has a (?) help dialog.
Engraved plates, cutout/backer maps, water inlays, label plates, and frame borders — planned automatically.
Per-piece SVG + DXF in a single ZIP, with README, assembly order, and source attribution included.
Exact palette colors for cut, engrave, labels, roads, water, and registration marks — clean layer mapping on import.
Buy credits through the StowLaser store; credits only spend when a production-ready export succeeds.
Ready-to-download laser map designs for popular lakes, cities, parks, and decorative layered-map themes.
Digital files are part of the plan
Alongside custom map generation, StowLaser will support a catalog of pre-made downloadable map designs and starter files.
Laser-ready map files for popular lakes, cities, states, parks, and decorative layered-map themes.
Per-piece vector files, preview, metadata, license/attribution, and a README bundled together.
What’s coming next
The first production release is focused on trust: reliable exports, a simple wizard, and a clean credit flow.
Preflight checks for vector-only output, approved palette, duplicate prevention, and successful ZIP packaging.
Credit packs first, with subscription-ready account support for future monthly creator plans.
Future expansion toward bathymetry, topography, material presets, and higher-volume shop workflows.
